What is the Milo Run Score and how is it calculated?

Your Milo Run Score is a single number that reflects your current running fitness. It powers Milo’s personalized race predictions and training paces.

The idea comes from the proven VDOT system: a strong result at one distance predicts performance at others. We use the same concept, refined with Milo’s own data.

How we calculate it:

Your Milo Run Score comes from one solid performance, such as a recent 5k, 10k, half marathon, or marathon. Milo uses your time and distance to determine your score.

What the Run Score gives you

  1. Race Predictions

Milo uses your score to estimate realistic race times across all common distances.

  2. Training Paces

Your score determines all of your personalized paces, including:

    • Recovery

    • Easy

    • Marathon Pace

    • Threshold Pace

    • VO2 Max (Interval)

    • Speed

In short, your Milo Run Score connects your current fitness to the training needed to improve.
